Добавлен 29 сен 2019
Join Doug, Cathy, and Maggie Mae as we travel full-time in our 2024 Quantum 29KW motorhome on new adventures to amazing places. We'll explain how living full-time on the road works (at least for us), we'll share the latest and greatest in RV's and accessories, we'll show you where we stay and tell you what we like (and sometimes what we didn't like) about each spot, and the best part - you'll get to come along with us as we check out places we've never been before! New videos come out every Friday morning at 9am eastern time AND every Monday evening at 8pm eastern time - but be sure to ring the notification bell when you subscribe, because sometimes we add in extra videos that you won't want to miss! So join us... as we Follow the Moon!

From missle silos, to record breaking prairie dogs; from Saabs to a beautiful canyon; from a tribute to our native Americans to a skeleton man walking a skeleton dinosaur; from a town from 1880 to petrified wood from thousands of years ago; and even the geographical center of our nation!

Great video...I will also mention the zoo but also try the air museum as a possible stop. We have a lot of things to see.
I have lived here most of my life and your presentation of Sioux Falls is one of the better ones I have seen .Glad you enjoyed the city! Thanks for the video 👍🇺🇸
@@larryv.83 Thanks so much for watching! We're glad you enjoyed it. We were fortunate to have been there before the rains and flood - we hope all is well there now.
@@FollowTheMoon You must have just missed the record rains and the historic Falls Park raging wild. Things are much better now ✌️
San Benito, my hometown, will always have a special place in my heart. Many of those places and buildings hold precious, priceless memories for me.
And we can certainly understand why. The area and the people were amazing - we had a great winter there. Thanks for watching!
We’re you able to park the RV at each interesting pull off?
@@jeandecker4073 we were actually in the car for most of the stops, but there was plenty of RV-friendly parking area at each of the stops. Thanks for watching.
We’ll be making that drive in about 3 weeks. Thanks for the tips. I am sure we would have missed some. Take care.
@@RollingTalesRV enjoy! It's an amazing drive with lots to see and do along the way. Thanks for watching!

@@BEHINDTHEMIC187 Wow - that's pretty cool! And now you know what we were up to. Thanks for watching!
i loved walldrug went there when i was about 10! looks like its still awesome!
@@Dillon-Stu this was our first time, but it's pretty awesome! Thanks for watching.
They're called buffalo. Tourists and city folk call them bisen. Park rangers might say bison but locals say buffalo. Awesome place!!!
Thanks for watching. We were just going by what the Park called them, as well as the definition: "Bison have large humps at their shoulders and bigger heads than buffalo. They also have beards, as well as thick coats which they shed in the spring and early summer."
@@FollowTheMoon Bison and buffalo are the same damn thing. Do you think bison only breed with bison and buffalo only breed with buffalo? That's why they're the same animal. Yes some may look a little different than others but that's how animals are they're not all identical. Buffalo are native to America and been breeding together for centuries. That's why they're the same animal no matter what Google told you.
I hope you also stopped in the visitor center in Lead (next to the open cut) to learn what is going on down underground in the mine today. Sanford Underground Research where they study neutrinos and dark matter. I am glad you enjoyed your visit, thanks for sharing.

@@user-oy7ix7lt3d The Dino Museum was amazing! Thanks so much for watching.
Wall Drug is on my bucket list. 😅💕 Can’t wait to visit South Dakota some day!! 🎉
South Dakota has been one of our favorite stops this year - all the way across I-90, and especially the area around Rapid City - Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial - plus it was absolutely beautiful countryside. Thanks for coming along with us!
Was that a bucket list stop.
For me (Doug), definitely! Always heard of it, and waited 60 years to see it. Thanks for watching.

I have lived in Omaha since the 80s and I hate it here so much. There is not much to do, especially after a few years. There is no really good or safe outdoor walking trails and museums are sorely lacking.
@@jaklg7905 Thanks for watching! Hopefully our video may inspire you to check out a few of the sites we mentioned, and also the Zoo which we weren't able to visit on our stop.
@@FollowTheMoon Been there, many times.

Wow thank you for sharing this was so nice. Omaha is so underrated.
Thanks for watching! We really enjoyed our time there, and look forward to coming back again.
The roads in Lindenwood look terrible because they flood almost yearly, but it is a really nice campground! People are nice, here. :-)
Thanks for watching! I'm not sure if the roads may have been recently resurfaced, but they were good when we were there (other than large speed bumps). Very nice and friendly campground.
Great video! I hate to jump on the zoo bandwagon, but me and the kids go there weekly.
@@DanTheVeterinarian Yes, we definitely need to see the zoo on our next visit. Thanks so much for watching!

@@robc3887 it certainly is - it's great to see an area revitalized into such a wonderful area that is being enjoyed by many. Thanks for watching!
Next time you are near Sioux Falls you should checkout Good Earth State Park southeast of town. The site itself is one of the oldest site of long-term human habitation in the United States. It was an important gathering place for seasonal ceremonies and a significant trading center for many tribal people from 1300-1700 A.D.

Thanks for watching. San Benito was such a friendly and welcoming community with a rich and celebrated heritage. We spent a lot of time there this winter and look forward to returning there again.
We have friends who are full time RVrs. They wanted out of the heat this summer. We live in Seal Rock, OR and I knew they have Thousand Trails membership and let them know. There is one 4 miles north of us on the coast and one in Pacific City and the one in Seaside. They were able to book 7 weeks on the coast using these 3 parks and are enjoying the summer weather here. @@FollowTheMoon I'll watch your other video of Whalers Rest. Kathleen
@FollowTheMoon We full timed RVd after we retired for a few years. We planned to keep going, but we happened to be staying in the Florence/Newport area when we saw this cute little stucco house and bought it. We love the weather year round. It's never too hot or cold, and not as much rain as I thought. Being from Northern NV, we never got much rain. We did have very hot summers and very cold winters in CarsonCity. I was never a fan of either after 45 years of it. My dad was in the Navy, and we always lived by the ocean. He was last stationed in Monterey, and we stayed because that's where my mom's side of the family lived. My husband and I moved to NV, and I thought we'd never live by the ocean again. Well, now we do across the street from it. Have a good day, week, month, and years. Kathleen
